A solution to shape digital transformation at The National Gallery London

Founded in 1824, The National Gallery is situated in London’s Trafalgar Square and counts some of the world’s best-loved paintings among its 2,300-strong collection

The Challenge

In August 2018, Analytics Engines was appointed as partner to collaborate on the implementation of an ongoing data analytics solution within the organisation.

The purpose of the solution was to use data analytics to create more robust reporting on visitor experiences.

The Solution

‘Perspective’ is an analytics solution which allows stakeholders to make data-driven strategic decisions by harnessing and examining data from a disparate range of sources. During the build, the Analytics Engines team focused on developing an intuitive platform enabling the greatest possible utility to all users across the organisation.

Work began on October 1st 2018 and the solution was launched to the organisation within four months. The speed of the roll-out has allowed The Gallery to spark off new conversations using shared information and data sources. The Gallery is now looking at ways to integrate machine learning and forecasting models alongside visitor data.
