Analytics Engines selected for NI Audit Office public sector audit project

Analytics Engines has been selected as one of five companies tasked with delivering Phase One of the Northern Ireland Audit office’s project “to develop a data-enabled approach to public sector audit”.

As one of only two Northern Irish companies selected, the project provides the company with a great opportunity to further extend its suite of software solutions enabling public bodies and private organisations to take meaningful action with their data.

The project was announced by the Northern Ireland Audit office in September 2018, after they successfully secured up to £1.25 million from GovTech Catalyst.

Making the announcement at the time, Pamela McCreedy, NIAO Chief Operating Officer said: “We were very impressed with the high calibre of applications received and are very excited about working with the appointed companies to help deliver our vision of an innovative and data-enabled approach to public sector audit.”

The proposed solution, Xamine, will address the challenge of developing a holistic evidence-based audit approach capable of capturing, extracting, cleansing, formatting, interpreting, analysing and presenting data from a range of sources.  Xamine will provide an innovative, automated, transparent and cost-effective way to transform this service delivery through the use of data and machine learning.

To build Xamine, Analytics Engines will work in partnership with the Audit Office and bring its deep expertise in systems integration, data integration and advanced analytics capabilities.
